Yes. You can only prepare accounts dated after April 1, 2023. If you need to file a return for a date before this, you'll need to use an alternative method outside of QuickBooks.

Thanks for your help, I thought it was odd that the date was 2023. Here is an example of the mistake btw in this page
Hello Eds88, thanks for coming back to us so i have checked with the higher team and they have said the information is correct it is 2023 for quickbooks as it was only introduced this year. So the information on this help article is correct.
Now I'm just confused, the first reply said it was 2021, now you say it's 2023.
Hi, EdS88.

LOL, what a truly bizarre way to develop a software solution, Pro Tax never once informed me with any sort of message or pop up warning about not accepting annual accounts made up to a date ending before 1st April, 2023. What a waste of my time. Oh well, lesson learned. Thought it all seemed a little too good to be true, a free service to file a CT600, and it was.
Hello EdS88, we will pass on the feedback about the pop-up to the product development team, the CT600 filing in QuickBooks accountant is a new feature of 2023, we welcome any comments and we're sorry for any frustration caused.
