Hi.
We run QBO standard payroll. The Employer NI Relief under Payroll Settings is 'On' to show we qualify for it.
But since submitting April 21 onwards, HMRC are saying that it is not being claimed for the year 21/22.
How do I get QBO payroll to inform HMRC that we are claiming it??

Hi liz-brown Just to clarify, are you referring to small empoyer relief in relation to re-claimming statutory payments or employment allowance relating to employers national insurance? In either case an EPS has to be submitted to HMRC, have you done this?

Sorry, I should have made it clear that is the Employers National Insurance allowance for 21/22 I am trying to claim. I have just seen that the EPS needed to be submitted, so have done that. Hopefully it will sort it. Thanks for your help.
Hi, This is still a bug with Quickbooks. Its April 22, and I've just been trying to move a client from HMRC Basic Tools onto Quickbooks. One would think its an obvious move. However the Employer NI Allowance doesn't work in Quickbooks. I've been on chat with Quickbooks and they basically cut me off after 30 minutes discussing the issue. They have my email address and contact details, but I doubt they will come back to me and tell me if there is an ongoing issue. PS - I went through all online tutorials and scoured the web for other articles including AccountingWeb - but its the same issue everyone - Quickbooks does not deal with the Employer NI Allowance. My client has declined to use quickbooks.
This isn't the kind of service we'd want to your experience, AGR Accounts ltd.
