Hi there, info971.
The pop-up code that shows share with your expert is an advertisement in QuickBooks. As it is set as a default advertisement for the accountants.
I can see how turning off this ad would be helpful for both you and your organization to create a transaction with no hassle. For now, we're unable to eliminate this option. However, I suggest clicking the X option in the Ads to temporarily lift this.
I also recommend checking our QBO Blog to learn more about our product updates and features to be implemented.
Please let me know if you have other questions related to QuickBooks. I'm always here to help.
Thank You ChristieAnn for the info, at least I know I am not going mad but I do fail to see the purpose of the popup where it is just showing a number with the message share this with your accountant! I dont see this as advertisement, I will pay closer attention on the next event and get a screen capture.
Thanks again.
Regards
Roy
I have just uploaded two screenshots that popped up on my screen within minutes of each other, I cannot see how these are offering or connected to any advertising services.

Roy
I appreciate you getting back to us, @info971.
It seems that the screenshot you've mentioned wasn't successfully uploaded on your post.
The ads in QuickBooks are designed to guide and suggest you how to optimize your QuickBooks Online experience. Since they're affecting your navigation experience, I recommend clicking on the X or No, thanks button. This will prevent the pop-ups from showing up again.
While we continue to make your experience with us even better, I recommend visiting our QuickBooks Online Blog to get the recent news, information about the latest features, and updates.
Moreover, I don’t want to leave you empty-handed, you'll want to visit our Community Help Articles hub in case you need some related articles in managing your account.
Please let me know in the comment section if you need anything else. I'm here to keep helping. Have a good one!
I have finally worked out the problem happens! due to using social media and Whatsapp you get into a habit of pressing (shift+enter) or (CMD + Return) to get to the next line without sending the message!!
This sequence when pressed in QB brings up the box with the code.
Thanks everyone.
Yes and its absolutely infuriating. That is a common text function which our company needs to use on a regular basis when typing up job descriptions and scopes. It takes so much extra time to type something up when you need to constantly take your hand away from the keyboard to click the X button or Dismiss. Not to mention they fail to even allow the pop-up to be closed with a backspace or escape. Useless feature that should not keep popping up I pay about $1,000 a year for this service use my fricking money to add in a fix, I'm sure it will cost less!
Shift + Enter = Skip Line + Spam. Remove the Spam!
Totally agree and so dam frustrating, this isnt the only corner being cut so my patience is starting to run thin with QB, so much time, effort and money invested already it's not easy to jump ship but if they continue to ignore and fail to provide a service I will have no choice.
The other major for me is they dropped the app!! I used the app most of the time.
This is driving me nuts too, when I am sending an invoice and editing the email message I get the popup and then when I close it, my message is gone and I have to start again trying not to press the shortcut that triggers it.
Please give us an option to turn this off QB!! It's such a simple issue to fix!
I see how this pop-up is affecting your invoicing processes, elise86.
I'm taking note of your feedback and also encourage you to send one from your company. This way, our engineers can consider finding a way to improve the way pop-ups are being displayed in QuickBooks.
On the other hand, if you want to check out some references for QBO, you can visit the main support page, scroll down a bit, and click More topics.
