Conversion from Quicken 2013 to Desktop Pro

Hi Sheriffs,

You can not convert regions, Unfortunately the US desktop cannot be migrated to UK online or UK desktop in any way to our knowledge. We are not quite sure where you have gotten the information that says that you can.

Conversion from Quicken 2013 to Desktop Pro

Hi @Sheriffs,

I got your back on this query. You can download the Quicken Converter 2020 tool since you want to convert to QuickBooks Desktop 2020. Please be advised, if you have a different version (a different year) of this converter, you need to uninstall it first. That's when you can proceed with the download.

Follow these steps to install and convert:

  1. Launch the downloaded Quicken Converter, then select Next.
  2. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement, then choose Next.
  3. To start the installation of the Quicken Converter, select Next, then Install.
  4. Select Launch Quicken Converter, then Finish.
  5. Choose I am transferring data from Quicken for Windows, then select Get Started.
  6. Select Open a data file located on this computer, then Select File.
  7. Browse to select your Quicken file (.QDF) file and select OK.
  8. Select Convert it!, then select OK.
  9. To save your new Quicken Data File (.QDF) file, select Save, then select Exit.

Additional details of this conversion process can be found in this article: Convert Quicken data to QuickBooks Desktop.

I'll be around in case you need further help. Post a comment below, and I'll be sure to get back to you.

Conversion from Quicken 2013 to Desktop Pro

Hi Ryan thanks for your input. I have downloaded the Quicken converter and performed the steps as required. My problem is my version of Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2020, this a UK version, does not have the Quicken conversion facility in the utilities tag. I have been able to update my Quicken data to a Quicken 2019 version with help from the Quicken community. This file I have converted into Quickbooks Desktop Esential which I downloaded as trial, this 30 day expires shortly. This trial is a US vesion and my desktop is the Uk version which I need as I live in South Africa.

What I need to do now is to convert either my US Quickbooks file to UK Quickbooks or convert my Quicken 2019 file to Quicken Desktop Pro 2020 UK version.

Thanks

Hi Sheriffs,

You will need a third-party converter to bring your data into QuicikBooks 2020 UK version. You can try checking online.

Once you convert our file you can run reports like Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss to check your data.

Please let me ko if you have other questions.

Thanks Jess T

I have my files saved now in 1, Quickbooks Enterprise trial version (US)

2. Quicken 2019 version, this converted easily into the above using the Convert utility and took less than 1hr, There were a few errors and these were easy to fix.

My version UK of Desktop Pro 2020  which I have purchased from the local South Africa Intuit representative Easybiz. does not have the convert tool in the Utility tab.

I need to convert from US desktop file to Uk Desktop which I understand can be done, or I need to convert the Quicken into UK desktop using the same convert tool as in the US version.

Any comment?

Thanks

Sheriffs
