I'd like to use the new 'projects' but it doesn't appear on the list on the LH side. Is this something I need to install?

Not sure about UK version but US version you have to turn on that feature before it will appear in the left side bar.

Gear Icon/Account and Settings/Advanced/Projects.

To use the Projects feature you will first need to enable this within the account by going to the Gear icon > Accounts and Settings > Advanced > Payroll. After turning this on you should see a tab for projects in your left navigation bar.

Thank you for your reply.  Unfortunately it's not there either :(   Picture attached.

'Payroll' is not within Gear icon > Accounts and Settings > Advanced > Payroll, and I'm not even sure what Payroll has to do with Projects?

My apologies, that should have read Gear icon > Accounts and Settings > Advanced > Projects.You will then see the option to turn on project financial tracking.

@julielove I just signed up for a trial of the UK version of Plus and I see it on my Advanced section of settings.  Are you sure you're using QuickBooks Online Plus?  Projects is a feature only available in QBO Plus.

That would have been helpful to know in the May Updates email I received from QB and also in the video. Nowhere does it mention that Projects is only available with a Plus subscription!!

No I'm not using Plus :(  Thank you for clarifying this! 

@julielove If you click this link https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/ and scroll down, you can see all the different features included with each version.  I would recommend checking it out as you may find a different version than what you're currently using would better benefit your business.  As new features are released I always recommend comparing the products to see if you're using the one that offers the best value and benefit.
