Let's perform some troubleshooting steps for you to edit the invoice, joshuareid15.
There are times when your browser's cache data is damaged or full of frequently-accessed page resources. When this happens, it will prevent you from editing an invoice.
To better isolate this issue, we can access QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private or incognito window to check if this is a browser issue or not.
Here's how:
Then, go back to the invoice and try editing the value in the QTY column.
If it works, go back to your original browser and clear your browser's cache to delete the temporary Internet files. Then, clear the Intuit-specific cookies to refresh website preferences on your program. Just proceed to Step 2: Clear Intuit-specific cookies from your browser section in this article: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.
You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to be thorough.

Hi, Thanks for your response.
I followed the steps you mentioned about trying on an inconginto window and seeing if that works unfortunately it didnt let me edit however gave me a better function.
This time, say the quantity was 6 and amount was 7 all it lets me edit on a row is 42.00 of 42.00 and either amount or percent. Is it because it was an estimate converted to an invoice?
Hello joshuareid15,
what you will need to do is change it on the estimate and then create a new invoice from that estimate with the create information on it as you cant edit the invoice that has already been created from the estimate.
So is the resolution of this issue that it is not possible to edit an invoice that has been copied from an estimate?

None of the fixes work. I have progressive invoicing turned on, but quanity or $ amount is a small field and hard to manipulate to get invoice to charge correct. I tried incognito, clear cache, etc. No help.
Also, FYI, there is no banking instruction option for bottom of invoice and therefore I have to put in the message (with other data) all of which are so light gray they are almost impossible to read.
The progressive invoice is terrible and needs to be updated.
