When sending an invoice for some reason it keeps coming up on the screen that the invoice needs approval before sending to the customer it’s never done that before.

Also, when sending the invoice just close as the app doesn’t send it

When sending an invoice for some reason it keeps coming up on the screen that the invoice needs approval before sending to the customer it’s never done that before.

When a workflow needs approval in your QuickBooks Online (QBO), you will see the notification right away. You can close it to send it to your customer. If you need authorization to proceed, please reach out to your admin for approval, MKL Cable Solutions.

 

And when your app's storage is nearly full, you might have trouble sending invoices. To fix this, you can clear the cache from your app. This will reset it and restore all its features. Here’s how to do it:

 

  1. Go to Menu ☰.
  2. Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Tap YES to confirm.

 

If the issue persists, I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app. This is to ensure the version you'll be using is updated.

 

On the other hand, if they're using an iOS device:

 

  1. In your device's Settings, choose General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage, then the QBO app.
  3. Click the Offload App to free up storage space without deleting your app's documents and data.
  4. Return to your Home Screen, then locate and tap the app icon to reactivate it.

 

If problems continue, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the software to clear all associated data and refresh the system.

When sending an invoice for some reason it keeps coming up on the screen that the invoice needs approval before sending to the customer it’s never done that before.

It’s a bug on the IOS app.


Instead of clicking the SEND button (which just causes the app to appear to quit), go into the invoice, tap the 3 dots top right and select email. You can then send as normal.

 

Quickbooks are aware of the bug and it’s in their list to be fixed.

 

You may also see a popup (also a bug which Quickbooks are aware of) saying:

 

Invoice needs approval

The changes made to invoice needs an internal approval before it can be sent to the customer


You can ignore this message as the invoice is sent.
