Will this be your first time submitting via MTD in QuickBooks, or have you been able to successfully submit before?
If this is your first time, have you registered for MTD with HMRC, and received a confirmation email that this is complete?
Thanks, no it is not the first time since May 2019 submitting MTD via quickbooks , but this quarter problems, sorry for my bad english
So just to clarify UTILE DULCI, this is not your first time submitting you have been submitting since May 2019 via MTD in quickbooks, but it is just this quarter where you are having an issue submitting and getting that error message.

Great and have you defiantly done and gotten the 5 things it is saying to you in the take action section?

I appreciate all the efforts you've done in resolving the error message in QuickBooks Online. I have here another troubleshooting steps to get rid of the error.
To begin, access your account through incognito. These browsers won't save any cache history. You may use the shortcut keys below:
From there, re-submit your tax return to verify if it's working thoroughly. If that works, you'll want to clear the cache of your regular browser to remove previously stored browsing data. Using another supported browser is a good option also.
If the issue keeps going, I'd recommend contacting our technical support. They have available tools to review your account and send a ticket to our engineers for further investigation.
Here's how:
Please call them within business hours to ensure we can cater to your concern immediately.
Additionally, you can always access the VAT 100, VAT Detail, and VAT exceptions and reports to track your tax data.
For your later reference, feel easy to visit these articles below about handling your VAT codes, MTD, and refund.
Let me know in the comment section if you have additional questions about your taxes. I'm willing to answer them all. Keep safe.
Hi can any one help I have done all the step to mtd take action put agent mtd code but not working, not sure if it’s because the client can’t get into he HMRC gateway as the person who set it up has left years ago, so when client came to my agency I know they was having trouble - but on QB it was still working and had no trouble submitting their vat until today- I must say my agency don’t use QB - so the client when they came to us they invited us on QB I had instructions to set up as accountant - which I did and I can see them when I login to QB under the accountant one - now did I set this up wrong ?, do I need to get them to authorise? Or is it down to what HMRC has,
Sorry for the long message but need to find out as I must try and get it submitted by tomorrow
