I followed your instructions and selected Thailand as the country. It then said "Country code not supported for sending text messages"

This means that you have to use a phone number that is under the jurisdiction of the same state or country. Otherwise, you'll encounter the same error message.
If that doesn't work, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They can review your account and will provide the further steps to get everything working again.

Of course I entered a Thai mobile number if I select Thailand in the drop down...

You need to have a UK-based mobile numbers. If your company is located in Thailand, consider migrating to QBO Global version for Thailand instead. You will be able to use your local mobile numbers.
