It can be that you're on the official plans and pricing page of QuickBooks when trying to switch to a different plan. That said, you'll be routed to create a new account.
We'll have to make sure that we are logged in on the expired account for us to have the option to either downgrade or upgrade. I'll show you how:

Thanks but I just want to switch the subscription over to my account I had with the free trial as it has some of my invoices and estimates. Is it possible to do that?

Keep in mind, you will pay the regular price if you pay from your trial account. If you wish to pay the discounted price, you have create a new QBO account by clicking the Buy button.
You may consider utilize the trial period of this 3rd party tool to migrate the transactions data between QBO accounts.
