Our engineers are working on a permanent fix. As a workaround, you can upload the bank transactions manually.
Here's how:

I am trying to connect Quickbooks to update my NATWEST Business credit card account too but it only offers Bankline or online banking as logon options. Neither of which i use. I Have Cardsonline or Clearspend but they do not seem to be supported by Quickbooks!! I have called Natwest but they said i have to sort this out via Quickbooks.. I have uttely no idea what to do now! Next month the cardsonline connection will cease so i want this sorted ASAP.
Help!!
Hi,
I have managed to sort this finally....I had exactly the same issue as you.
Firstly you will need to disconnect your credit card account currently connected to Quickbooks....then reconnect...by Add account and ...
Type Cards online in the space and it will offer you different connections...
Click on Cards Online Commercial - Other Cards. The Other Cards one is the only one which will then ask for your log on details correctly...follow this through and you should be able to reconnect again.
Fingers crossed you get this sorted too. :)
Thanks but won't that lose all the credit card history from my business accounts? Would i then have to reconcile everything all over again?
I want to try but need to know the implications of what i may or may not lose. Quickbooks support is really difficult to get to i think..
I'm not a particularly good with accounts stuff anyway so scared that i much everything up!
I was worried about that too, but when it asks you to the date you wish to pull the transactions from, I chose the earliest available ( usually 2 years) and then checked Quickbooks afterwards and everything seemed to still be there?
Did you have to reconcile everything again or did it pick up from the date you deleted and reconnected? I've got years of account history so worried that i lose the transactions.
Thanks
Vin
Mine all stayed the same all reconciled too. When I did it the other day, I had a customer assistant screen sharing so that they could understand the problem and they suggested reconnecting it and it worked :)
Brilliant thnk you SOOO much its taken me 2 weeks to get this sorted ..QB and CArds Online dint really help but now it sorted DIDNT lose any transactions IDs ...now going to try with my Barclaycard !
I'm liking QB -just a few teething problems ..other credit cards see to work fine :) happy boy THANK YOU VINCE

Hi, I used this fix myself (using 'other cards') for a client last week and they are connected. I have gone to reconnect another client today, and that option now no longer appears, so I am unable to re connect them.
Hello Catherine
The standard feed connection type is not available from the 21st Feb for new connections. The standard feed will turned off on the 12thMarch. All connections will then have to be through open banking. If a bank is not supported yet by open banking we'll no longer be able to connect.
More information on banks currently supported is available here.
It may be the case that the bank account type is not able to be supported. Where these clients all trying to connect the credit card with Natwest? What message do you get when you connect via open banking?
Emma
Hi Emma,
Same issue as was described by the other users. It appears to be connecting but then takes you to a login page which requests that you sign in via Bankline or Clear Spend, or a personal card, so the login information requested/format is not correct, even when using the URL.
I am also having trouble with loan accounts that you used to be able to connect with Quickbooks and now cannot.
I know it's a bank issue, but it is proving troublesome that cards and loans previously connectable are no longer working. I appreciate that a csv upload is a workaround, but not appealing.
Thanks,
Catherine
Yes same here. It was working a few days ago and now the cards online other option has dropped off the list.
Has anyone tried signing up for clearspend and selecting that option to bring the nat west credit card feeds in?
Hi Joanna, Yes my client signed me up to Clearspend today and the card is all connected now and all transactions have fed in :) Just now trying to work out how to add bank accounts to it too to be able to connect these.
Hello catherine,
Welcome to the Community page,
You would be able to connect your Natwest account onto the new open banking, the other account is not showing as that was a standard feed that is no longer available with all banks moving on to the new opening banking. when you click add account on the banking page and search Natwest it will show you all the accounts you can connect to in quickbooks.
When you click on the business account option you are taken through to NatWest to enter your ClearSpend credentials. When I currently do this it says that I only have the card account available to connect, but if I want to add business accounts I can - just can't see how to do this at the moment. Will try logging in to the bank and seeing if there is an option to add the bank account to the ClearSpend app.
I have created a clearspend account and attached it to QBO banking. I have an issue. QBO is pulling all the transactions in together so I am unable to know whose spending is whose. I need to link each card individually (like I had before) but I am not sure how to do this as it only gives me the option for the "umbrella" account. Any ideas anyone?
Catherine, Do you only have one natwest credit card then?
Also I have left the main business bank accounts under NatWest Business Banking and it seems to be fine -just the credit cards are saying they need updating.
Two cards but in this instance it is not an issue to know who's is who's. It's a bit confusing at the moment as bank accounts cannot be added to ClearSpend yet, but you are taken through to that login when you try to connect a business bank account. His bank account stopped updating, although I have other clients currently unaffected, so I was advised by QB's to disconnect it, but now I cannot reconnect it.
I know it's not QB's who have caused all these Open Banking Regs problems, but it's still a big inconvenience. Could do without it as I am in the middle of sorting out loads of issues with the new payroll products - so much for a quiet February! :)
When I try and connect to Nat West Cards Online via the clearspend option a message comes up saying sorry you don't have any valid accounts please get in touch with your administrator. Thats me ! I am registered with Clearspend.
When is this issue going to be resolved?
Hello Dunny,
When you add account and search natwest card there should be one called Natwest Cards Online (UK) if you click that one and follow the instructions it should connect the card for you.
Let us know how you get on.
Tried that, this happens
This is the change at the RBS group, Dunney.
The NatWest Commercial card users are required to switch to the ClearSpend option to continue accessing through QuickBooks Online.
You're actually on the right path. Registering with ClearSpend first to reestablish the new connection with our program. Since you're encountering an error message, I'd suggest reaching out to our customer care support. This way, an agent will help you connect the account without any issues. Here's how:
Let me share the reference about the changes to bank feeds for NatWest Cards Online (UK) for more information.

Just had screen chat apparently cards online is not open banking ready or something.
Think it may be time to change business bankers !!
