The practice and the vision

Marco Garcia began his career as an inventory specialist and worked his way up through different industries before eventually becoming a bookkeeper in 2015. After years of working for larger companies, he started his own bookkeeping practice, MG Essentials, as a side business. Today, he’s a full-time bookkeeper with five small business clients in the Philippines, with clients typically having a monthly revenue between ₱1 million and ₱5 million.

While working with an Australian client, Marco used a different accounting platform for five years, but he was also using QuickBooks to serve his US clients. A major turning point came when he began working with a new client in the Philippines who sold products and offered treatments. He quickly realised the limitations of his old software.
