Do the Quickbooks online bank feeds work with Co-op business banking?

Do the Quickbooks online bank feeds work with Co-op business banking?

It's nice to see you here in the Community, @info734.

You can connect your Co-op business banking in QuickBooks Online (QBO), as long as it's on the list for Online Banking connection.

To check, connect your bank account, here's how:

  1. In the left menu, click Banking.
  2. Choose Add account.
  3. Search for your bank and select Continue. Read through the terms and conditions and then click Agree.
  4. Follow the steps on your bank's internet banking page to authorise QuickBooks to connect to your bank account. Once you have authorised the connection, you will automatically be taken back to QuickBooks.
  5. On the QuickBooks page, select the bank accounts you want to connect, and which account they will link to in QuickBooks.
  6. Select Connect. QuickBooks is now connected to your selected bank account(s), and your transactions will be waiting for you on the Banking page.

However, if it's not in the list of supported banks, I recommend sending support request for this bank as Co-op business banking would be a great addition to QBO online banking. Here's how to send your request:

  1. In the left menu, click Banking
  2. Go to the Banking tab.
  3. Hit the Add account button.
  4. Type in the name of the bank or URL in the search box.
  5. Click the Still can't find your bank link.
  6. Enter your bank details.
  7. Once done, choose Request

While the bank account is not supported yet, for the meantime, you can manually upload transactions into your QBO account. Here's an article for the detailed steps: Import bank transactions using Excel CSV files.

Do the Quickbooks online bank feeds work with Co-op business banking?

The bank is in the list (Co-Op business banking) but when both my clients who are trying to link the bank put their details in, then it keeps saying there is an error (error 103) and just goes back to the log in details.

I have tried copying the web address directly but they get the same issue.

From research it appears to be a specific issue with the Co-Op bank feeds, I was hoping that there may be a fix....

Do the Quickbooks online bank feeds work with Co-op business banking?

Hi info734,

The error code 103 indicates that your clients have entered invalid credentials.

Some banks provide different connections depending on the type of account. Example: For HSBC, they have a connection for commercial, direct, office banking, credit card accounts, etc. It could be that their bank does not provide connections to the type of account they have. Then, the available one in QuickBooks is for other types, that's they can't sign in.

Alternatively, they can sign in to their account on  website where they usually access their account. Then, they can download their bank transactions in a Web connect file and upload them to the Banking page. They can do this weekly or twice a month, depending on how many transactions they process. You can share the article that Mirriam mentioned in her answer.

You can also send this to your clients: Assign, categorise, edit, and add your downloaded banking transactions.
