Hello Noboots and Jwestwood, thanks for posting on this thread, we want to reassure you that, we do not ignore any of our customers at intuit. This function has been reported to our product development team and is currently working as designed. We understand there is a demand for this to be re-introduced to the product by users and recommend leaving feedback in product as this can influence the enhancements.
Thank you Ashleigh but I'm afraid this does not instil any confidence as the issue has not been acted on in any meaningful way for the past 8 months. We have had no response beyond template messages, empty promises of action and suggestions to 'clear cache'!! If Intuit are serious about listening to their subscribers then I suggest this is passed on to someone who is responsible for resolving this issue now, to prevent a number of those subscribers walking....we have all done our best but our patience is wearing thin.

Actually, having re-read your note, it makes no sense at all??? Are you say all is working as it should? Have you finally realised that there is 'a demand' and are you simply recommending leaving 'feedback'???
Really???????
So sad, this thread has become.
We get asked to send feedback, we EVER see or hear anything back about the feedback. So sad, wasting our breath. ALL Intuits fault to start with is this mess.
@Ashleigh1Further to @noboots comments why in the earth do you think that it's working as designed? It's just taken several months to get what we thought was a fix to the original new bug, only to find out it's actually on a partial fix and that the devs thinks this is
A. Acceptable,
B. They actually think this is now working as intended?
It worked fine prior to the bug being introduced, so at some point prior to that the devs msut have though that the original way was how it was intended to work. They can't have it both ways. It's basic web site programming at where the cursor lands when a page is opened with an edit box in it, BASIC.
If I was a dev at Intuit I would be ashamed of myself for producing such a buggy, below par product. Meanwhile us paying customers have to put up or "click on the cog and send us feeback"
Awaiting a response Ashleigh?
Hi Mark and noboots, the instruction that this feature is working as designed has come from our product development team. We appreciate the demand for this to be changed and can only continue to drive customers visiting this forum to leave feedback.
@GeorgiaCYou, or more to the point they, are missing the point of this. It's not a feature request, it's something they have broken, and is a bug on the web page. If you mean they, the devs, are actually implementing this as how it's supposed to work, then they need to understand that this bug is adding time to peoples business EVERY time someone need to fill in a form, it's madness that they think this is acceptable, and unbelievable.
Another example of Intuit's lack of customer engagement with improving the product.
If you 'appreciate the demand', then why haven't you instructed YOUR development team to change it? Just how long do we have to wait? What percentage of your customer base needs to provide negative feedback before you act? We, as a small company, act on ALL negative feedback, to resolve any issues however small - that's fundamental 'customer service' - something that we are not worthy of clearly. We are paying you for providing a broken programme. Should we assume that we are wasting our time here? that Intuit is just too big to care? - we have a right to know the true situation. Should our time be better spent transferring our loyalties to another company who actually cares about it's customers? Why doesn't someone on YOUR development team come on here and explain to us why they refuse to resolve this problem?
OK, so while we're on the subject of what an appalling programme we're all trying to work with - here's another 'issue' that keeps cropping up. Has anyone else come across this problem?- after entering a customer name and hitting tab key to bring up the (not asked for by the way and yet another annoyance) customer details page on the right hand side of the screen, when I hit enter to move on I get a red error note at the top telling me there is already someone with that name registered. So I have to close, go back to the customer name field and hit the space bar after the name before the already registered customer appears beneath!! What is all that about please?? (Hope that makes sense?!) This and the fact that the Send Now does not work with Enter key - yet more mouse moving......just, grrrrrrrrrr :0( So if anyone else has experienced these issues please send feedback :0/
Whisper it quietly - in case the tinkerers developers hear us - but I think they have fixed this again (deliberately or not, we'll never know without a change log! @Mark Armistead ).
I have only tested on Invoices & Receive Payments but Save & New now opens a new entry with the Name Field live & ready for text entry.
Also, the Category field only needs a single mouse click again before text entry.
I noticed it at the weekend too! Fingers crossed it stays this way...
So it does indeed Paul good spot. Although they've broken other things again along the way. VAT gone back to Taxes and dropped off the bookmarks in the navigation listing. I reported it but they seem to think that's how it's always been....
But yeah, change log for crying out loud @Ashleigh1 @GeorgiaC
