Hi, How do I set up the review and pay button on invoices?

Welcome to the Community, lockdoctors Aberdeenshire.

I'd be delighted to share some details about how PayPal accepts card payments. Then, share an alternative method for receiving customer payments.

When a payment is received by PayPal, it will automatically sync with QuickBooks Online, and record detailed information including items sold, quantity, discount, taxes, etc. Also, the fees are also imported as an expense in your QuickBooks account.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can accept card payments through PayPal or GoCardless. The latter is a bank-to-bank payment method that uses direct debit to automatically collect payments from your customer's bank account. When a payment is received by GoCardless, it will automatically sync with QBO. Here's an article that explains in detail how to use the following feature: Get Started with GoCardless.

Furthermore, these resources provide answers to frequently asked questions about how the PayPal app and GoCardless work, as well as the benefits.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you have other customer-related concerns or additional questions about receiving payments. I’ll be glad to answer them for you. Enjoy your weekend.

Hi, How do I set up the review and pay button on invoices?

Hi there, heath3.

I can guide how to set up the review and pay button on the invoices. Here's how:

We'll need to have a QuickBooks Payments account in your book. Then, set the said button by following the steps below:

  1. Click the +New button.
  2. Select Invoice under Customers.
  3. Under the Online Payment section, select the type of payment how you want the payment to be accepted.
  4. Enter the invoice information as well as your customer's email address.
  5. Click the Save and Send button.
  6. Review the invoice in the Send email window.
  7. Then, hit the Save and close button again.

For more tips and details, consider checking these articles. Each of them contains information about processing payment in QBO. Aside from that, we'll be learning how to handle things if we are not using payment service in QBO.

If you require additional details, just let me know by adding a comment below. I'll be more than willing to assist you further. Take care, and stay safe!

Hi,

Thank you so much for your reply.

We already have a PayPal account set up in Quickbooks as one of the bank accounts. Can we use this?

Hi, How do I set up the review and pay button on invoices?

Hello Heath3,

You have two options

option one is

If you go to the plus new top right>invoice>where it says payment options if you click on the blue link that ways -accept card payments with paypal

or

option two is

What you would need to do is go to the apps tab left-hand side on dash board>search paypal>login with your details>it will link to the QB account > then it should work on invoices.

If you have any other queries please feel free to reach back out to us.

@lockdoctors Aberdeenshire

If you are running a service company, you can use a 3rd party app to accept payments by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club (International), Discover (Domestic) and Direct Debit (BACS).

Hi, How do I set up the review and pay button on invoices?

Hello there, @AwalasI want to share some information about the feature wherein your customers can pay their invoices online.

GoCardless is available only in QuickBooks Online UK. However, if you're using QuickBooks Desktop from a different region, like the US, you can process customer payments through QuickBooks Payments.

If you sign up for QB Payments directly from your QBDT company, we'll connect your accounts automatically.

On the other hand, perform the following steps to manually connect if you signed up for QB Payments from a different QuickBooks version. First, link your payments account:

  1. In your QBDT company, open the Customers menu.
  2. Click on Link Payment Service to Company File. If you see a message about credit card protection, fill out the fields and hit OK.
  3. Type in the user ID and password you used to sign up for QuickBooks Payments. Then select Sign In.
  4. Click on Connect. Or if you're transferring your payments account to another company file, click on Transfer and then Yes, Transfer.

After that, change the deposit bank account QB Payments if needed. Lastly, enable the payment options and online invoices to settle everything.

If you're all good, here's an article you can read about personalizing invoices in QBDT: Create custom email templates in QuickBooks Desktop.

You can always comment so we can help you further regarding invoices, payments, or QuickBooks. Stay safe.
