When will my free beta access end and when does paid billing begin?
The free beta programme for Accelerate and Books Close has been extended through January 20, 2027. Your first charge will appear on your firm's next regular billing date after January 21, 2027.
How do I claim the 50% discount and how long does it last?
The limited-time 50% discount is automatically applied to both Accelerate and Books Close subscriptions for the first 12 months. No additional action is required to receive the discounted rate.
What’s different about the Intuit Accountant Suite and why should my firm try it?
One sign-in gives you every client's QuickBooks data in one place instead of switching between accounts. Intuit AI layers on top to flag anomalies and answer questions about that data faster than manual review would.
What is happening to QuickBooks Online Accountant?
QuickBooks Online Accountant will be officially discontinued on December 31, 2026, as we transition all firms to the modern Intuit Accountant Suite platform. Similar to QuickBooks Online Accountant, the Core version of Intuit Accountant Suite has no monthly recurring fee and remains free for your firm to use.
Can I go back to QuickBooks Online Accountant after I try Intuit Accountant Suite?
Yes, you will have the option to go back to QuickBooks Online Accountant at this time. Note, if you have transferred clients to a target account, those will continue to be centralised in a target QuickBooks Online Accountant account. We strongly encourage you to return to the Intuit Accountant Suite when your team is ready so you can benefit from the newest innovations.
Is there any missing functionality that I won’t have in the Intuit Accountant Suite that I had in QuickBooks Online Accountant?
No. All current features and capabilities within QuickBooks Online Accountant are included in the Intuit Accountant Suite, plus more. We also will provide tools to help your team navigate some changes in terms of where you will be able to access certain capabilities that are now in new locations.
How can I get my firm onto one account if I have multiple QuickBooks Online Accounts?
Your primary and company admin can transfer clients to a target account using our updated client transfer tool in Intuit Accountant Suite. Simply go to the settings gear and select transfer clients. We will provide resources to guide your firm through the required preparation and then provide a tool to move clients from your other QuickBooks Accounts to your target account.
Who can sign up for Intuit Accountant Suite?
Any accountant or bookkeeper can sign up for Intuit Accountant Suite. If you already have a QuickBooks Online Accountant account, both Primary Admins and Company Admins have the ability to update, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel firm-level subscriptions and billing details, and switch over from QBOA to IAS. How do role-based access and controls work in Intuit Accountant Suite?
Your team will continue to have the same role-based access and controls to your firm and clients as they previously did in QuickBooks Online Accountant. With Intuit Accountant Suite Accelerate, firms can bulk assign role-based access and controls using user groups.
What AI chat functionality can I access through Intuit Accountant Suite and what are the limitations?
Intuit Intelligence chat is now available in beta to primary and company admins of Intuit Accountant Suite and QuickBooks. In Intuit Accountant Suite Core, you can ask up to 200 prompts/month about your firm. With Intuit Accountant Suite Accelerate, you can ask up to 1,000 prompts/month about your firm or your client’s books without switching to their books. Coming soon, Accelerate will also allow you to ask cross-client portfolio questions.* In the client’s books, you can also ask questions about their books, which will count towards the client’s monthly total of prompts (Simple Start - 25, Essentials - 50, Plus - 100, Advanced - 200). When clients reach limits on prompts, they can purchase an add-on of $10/mo for 100 additional queries each month.
