What type of engagements does Workpapers support?

Workpapers is best suited for compilation/notice to reader engagements. That’s because some of the higher level assurance engagements (review/audit) need extra schedules, notes, and or compliance items that exist outside the QuickBooks Online Accountant ecosystem. While CaseWare might be better suited for review and audit engagements, the streamlined cloud-based ecosystem of QuickBooks Online Accountant Workpapers allows for everything to be in one place.

Does Workpapers only work with Pro Tax?

With Workpapers, you can easily review and re-assign GIFI tax codes. When you’re ready, you can export a standard GIFI file to Pro Tax, ProFile, Excel or any other tax software.

How much does Pro Tax cost?

Pro Tax T1 is available at a special introductory price of $450.00/year (regular $500/year). Pro Tax T2 is available at a special introductory price of $700.00/year (regular $875/year). Your subscription includes unlimited e-filing⁴.

You can try Pro Tax T1 and T2 for free. To access your free trial, log into QuickBooks Online Accountant and navigate to the Pro Tax tab. You can create and edit up to 7 T1 or T2 returns. A paid subscription is required to e-file.

What forms are available in Pro Tax?

- 1. Pro Tax free trial:
  Paid subscription is required to e-file. Terms, conditions, pricing, features, service and support are subject to change without notice
  Pro Tax is functional as a free trial until purchasing a subscription. Create and edit returns with the following restrictions:
  - Create and edit up to 7 T1 or T2 returns.
  - Fill out and edit all created returns.
  - Use of the auditor.
  - Estimate tax summary amounts.
  Data inputted on QuickBooks Online Accountant Pro Tax will be available for a limited time if on free trial.
- 2. QuickBooks Online Accountant Sign Up:
  Free subscription to QuickBooks Online Accountant is available for a limited time only. To be eligible for this offer you must be an active, licensed public accountant. Intuit reserves the right to cancel at any time any and all licenses that are not compliant with Intuit eligibility requirements. Terms, conditions, availability, pricing, features, service and support options are subject to change without notice.
- 3. Support:
  QuickBooks Online Accountant support is available 9AM - 8PM ET on weekdays. No restrictions on the call - it is based on customer need.
  Chat support is available 8AM - 9PM ET on weekdays and 9AM - 6PM ET on Saturday.
- 4. ProTax subscription:
  A subscription to Pro Tax requires an active QuickBooks Online for Accountant (QBOA) account.
  The above stated discount offer applies to your first year annual subscription fee, starting upon sign-up. The annual subscription price excludes HST/GST. Discount does not apply to HST/GST. Offer valid for a limited time only. You must select the Subscribe button within the QuickBooks Online for Accountant Pro Tax tab to subscribe. Upon expiration of your annual subscription term, your account on file will be automatically charged on an annual basis at the then-current fee for the service(s) you’ve selected, until you cancel. If you add or remove services, your services fees will be adjusted accordingly. If you’re not satisfied with Pro Tax for any reason, you can cancel your subscription within the product if you purchased your subscription directly from Intuit.
- Cancelling your Pro Tax Subscription:
  If you’re not satisfied with Pro Tax for any reason, you can cancel your subscription within the product if you purchased your subscription directly from Intuit. Customers who opt out of their subscriptions are not entitled to a refund. You will have access to a “read-only” data version until the end of your billing period. You will not have access to the EFILE service unless you resubscribe at the full annual pricing.
  To cancel, navigate to your account page from the gear menu in QuickBooks Online Accountant and click on the Billing details tab. View and manage your active Pro Tax subscriptions using the action button on the right. Terms, conditions, features, pricing, service and support options are subject to change without notice.
- 5. Forms available:
  Pro Tax has all of the T1 and T2 English Canada forms found in Intuit's ProFile tax software. Québec forms are not supported in Pro Tax at this time.
