We can try reconnecting again to download the correct transactions. But before doing so, you'll need to exclude the transactions that were downloaded to the wrong account. Let me show you how:
Once it's excluded, it'll now be transferred to the Excluded tab in which you have the option to delete it.
You may want to visit this article to learn more about excluding transactions: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online.
Once done, you can now reconnect the right account and download your banking transactions. This will get you back on track.
To help you manage your bank transactions and reconciling your account in QuickBooks, you can visit this link: Banking.

Great, thanks for your help!
@MirriamM I have tried the above as suggested but there isn't an option to match the accounts again as I did the first time, it just says connected accounts and I cannot select anything....
If I leave it until the authority has expired in 3 months will I be able to do it as if for the first time? Or is there a way to disconnect? I have excluded and deleted all the transactions...
I appreciate you for getting back to us, Caroline.
Allow me to chime in and share the steps on how to disconnect your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Here’s how:
You can also check this article for more details: Disconnect or delete accounts connected to online banking.
Once done, reconnect your bank again and ensure to link to the right account to avoid any errors.
Moreover, I’d recommend getting in touch with your accountant for further guidance in going through the steps. This way, we can guarantee your accounts is well accounted for. If you don’t have one, you can visit our ProAdvisor page and look for one from there.
In regards to leaving it until it expired, you can always reconnect like it’s the first time. Additionally, I’m adding this link that you can read for guidance in matching your bank statement and QuickBooks balance: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
You can always get back to me if you need further assistance connecting your bank and managing your transactions. I’m more than happy to work with you again. Have a good one!
