Absolutely agree with previous posters - I would really like to be able to edit the format of the remittance advice and I think the standard message that is sent with it is not what I would choose
Dear Quickbooks
I also think the remittance message is unproffessional and would like to change it, you mention historically that other quickbook users are wishing to change this setting.
Have you now made the updates ? I have accounts staff hours changing and wish to notify all suppliers, manually for 80 suppliers this will take time, although i know you will say copy and paste contents.
When will you be update it ?
Regards Frustrated customer
Hi Keela, There have been no changes to the default text, at the moment we do not have an update on if this will be done however we do have a product update page where we do publish forthcoming changes here
I am also having issues with the remittance advice. It is cc'ing the admin email address on our account. Does anyone know if this can be shut off. Our owner does not want a copy of the remittance sent to her every time, and I can not find the area to shut this off.
I understand how the ability to change or remove the default message for remittance advice is beneficial to your business, @Karen LL.
At this time, this option is unavailable in QBO. I recommend manually changing the information upon sending the transaction within QuickBooks Online.
Please know that we will take note of this feature to get added in the future update.
In the meantime, I want you to be updated with the recent happenings and future developments of QuickBooks Online by visiting our QuickBooks Blog.
Please know that you can tap my shoulder anytime you have additional questions. Stay safe. Thanks!
Hi
Can you tell me where Quickbooks have got to on this query because I am getting tired of having to manually edit 50 remittances every month.
Thank you
They put it in the feedback bank. Nothing changed as of yet. :(
Another +1 from me on the default text - surely it isn't difficult to be able to change this in the background settings so we users don't have to change each one manually?!
Also the header mentioning cheque payment is really confusing for suppliers when we have paid by BACS for 13 years.
I am unhappy with the QB reponse to send it from my own email - QBO is meant to make my life easier, not harder!
Spot on Lebs!
Just ridiculous QB can't fix this. I'm thinking of changing to a company more responsive to their users.
Hi,
When creating remittances advice for my CIS subcontractors, I wants to show them total amount then cis deductions and then net payable to them.
I couldn’t find this feature here.
can you put me to the right direction please
Hi there, Najam. Thanks for joining the thread.
When creating Remittance Advice in QuickBooks Online (QBO), the option to change the template to show the data you need is unavailable. I understand how your suggestion and idea for QuickBooks functionality would be useful in the system.

Has this been fixed yet so we can amend the template or is it still "something that will be looked at" sometime never?
Hi there, KathM.
The option to edit the text in the Remittance Advice is still not available in QuickBooks Online. You'll want to manually edit the body of the email before sending it out to your clients.
We appreciate and have taken note of all the feedback and feature requests that are shared in this thread. Please continue to check QuickBooks Blog site where you can see all the latest features and updates. Here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/blog/.
Let me know if you need anything else. We're always here to help.
I had a look at the blog site as suggested, and it's mostly just general articles. Is there a release notes site where we can look out for specific features and bug fixes?
I suggest you visit this page to learn more about new and upcoming features for QuickBooks Online (QBO): Product Updates for QuickBooks UK.

Feel free to post a reply if you have other questions with your QBO company, and I'll take care of it for you.
I've just joined Quickbooks from Sage and I am shocked that this is not already a feature. To then discover that this has been raised as an issue since January 2020 and over a year later Intuit hasn't made this option available is unacceptable. Starting to regret our decision to move....
Hi LHarris89 We appreciate your frustrations and the impact that this may be having on you. We will of course, again, submit a product enhancement request to our developers for their consideration and encourage you to leave feedback from within the product.
I love how you say you will submit this request - which numerous Quickbooks' customers have been raising for a very long time - to your 'developers for their consideration'. They are working for you. How about showing some consideration to your very frustrated Customers - who are paying you for a service which you aren't doing a very good job of supplying?
Thank you for your response. I have left feedback within the product and hope that this is enhancement request is considered by your developers and that Quickbook users won't have to wait another year for this to be rectified.
Ryan,
I am also sick to death manually changing remittance advice that go out to my suppliers and associates. Surely to goodness you can fix this so we can edit the covering mail as we do on invoices? Please, please please get this sorted!!!
This complete disinterest shown by Quickbooks in fixing this issue is simply unbelievable. I'm seriously considering swapping to another provider.
Hi,
Has this been resolved? I am trying to change my remittance advice as well.
Hello LR53, The remittance text is remaining as it is for the moment, we have seen and put in requests from this thread for it to be changed to the product developers and we can add your vote as well, the more popular a request is when it's an enhancement the better in terms of it being implemented.
I have issues with bank feeds unresolved since March. Back and forth with support and all that has been achieved in 6 months is a lot of cases were closed (but not fixed).
If QBO doesn't do what you need, you're just going to have to switch to Xero or something else. Give up waiting for issues and niggles to be solved... you'll be waiting years.
Agreed, I've been in a never ending battle since March about a different issue. Not one person actually looks into it to actually do anything about it. Get told i will hear back, and never do. Tried switching to Xero because i was over it, unfortunately they don't have a markup setup like QB so now I'm back to QB to do double the work because they are too incompetent to actually do the work and look into it properly. All over a function that worked perfectly fine up until March this year.
