Importing invoices to QBO

Try to import invoices from another software. I have completed all the sample invoice CSV and all information are where they should be. The import is looking as successful AND each customers have each relevant invoices attached to their account. However the invoices are no where to be shown within the invoices field. Is that something normal?

So on the last page of the upload process it should advise on what has been created to add the Invoices/Bills what did it show upon upload? You can also view the Audit Log of your account by going to the Cog Wheel in the top right corner of your dashboard this may be able to show you where the newly added Invoices are located.

Importing invoices to QBO

Hello Bipouet_fr,

Welcome to Community.

Really sorry to hear of the troubles you are having trying to import your invoices into QuickBooks Online. Can I please confirm which program you are using to import your Invoices are you using the Invoice and Bill Import QuickBooks Labs add on or are you using another Third Party App from the app section of QuickBooks Online?

Thanks.

Importing invoices to QBO

I have uploaded all invoices and data to the CSV sample template. I have not been using any app or third party company to do so.

From the Sample invoice csv. I clicked in import invoices and followed the instruction on screen. The customers do have the invoices to their name with all correct information related to them. BUT the invoices tab is showing empty. I have tried to hook up with a third party to see if I could extract the invoices anyway. But it is not visible either and even worst I do not have any of the transactions reported the each customers unlike on QBO

Could I please confirm which version of QuickBooks you are using whether this is the Desktop product or our QuickBooks Online product?

Can you please send some screenshots of where you uploaded your Invoices please so I can try and help you further.

Thanks,

My bad they were older invoices with an older date I had to change the view as I could only see 365 days of those invoices.

Thanks for the help ;)

Hi Anniecane,

Currently, we let our clients use third-party apps to import transactions in QuickBooks Online. You can find one in the on the internet.

You can always join us back here if you need anything else.

Jess is there any info from intuit as to how these 3rd party apps are able to import these invoices into QBO?  I'd like to know as I develop software for my company that integrates reports from quickbooks and I'd like to create an easy way to do finance charges on past due bills.

Hey there, C3H8.

Allow me to step in for a moment and share some information about integrating third-party apps.

The data that QBO receives is dependent upon what the third-party application sends over to us. In regard to how they import invoices, the process depends per application.

We have a separate forum where you can interact with fellow developers, product experts, and engineers, so I encourage posting this question to our Intuit Developer Community. They have developer tools and resources available to help you find ways on how to do finance charges for past due bills.

This information should you point in the right direction developing a software to sync with QBO.

Stay in touch if you have additional questions about QBO. I'll be around to help you. Wishing you continued success.

Hi
I needed to import invoices from CSV/excel, but when I click import invoice, a page from the attached screenshot says, "We're sorry, we can't find the page you requested." Please note, I have accountant access only. TIA

Hello there,

You'll want to make sure you are using the correct QBO link. If so, we can perform basic troubleshooting steps to see if it is a browser issue. Sometimes your search engine's cache and cookies become corrupted, causing problems when accessing websites or opening files. To begin, open your QBO account in an incognito window. It will prevent the browser history from being saved. Please refer to the following keyboard shortcuts based on your browser type:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the private browsing session works, clear the browser's cache so the system can restart. This task is also possible in other supported, up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will reboot the system, allowing you to work with clearing the cache. It will also help you get rid of any junk files that might be slowing down your work.

Hi
I tried the incognito mode but the same thing happened. I have accountant access to the account, do you think it's because of access management?

Hello Nazmul09, if it is a client's account then your firm access level shouldn’t affect your access in the client account. Can you try on different web browsers, clear your cache and cookies to all time, close the browser down reload it, try different devices and network and if the issue still persists then can you ring the support line on 0808 234 5337 and you can set up a screenshare with the agent on the phone so this can be looked into more for you. The line is open mon to fri 8am to 7pm and is free from any UK landline or mobile.
