WORKING IN THE CLOUD
Recently, we announced exciting innovations coming to QuickBooks starting in November. Powered by the Intuit platform, a reimagined QuickBooks will bring:
AI experiences to help automate tasks and workflows
A smarter dashboard to surface tools, data, and proactive insights
New features to help you do more on a single platform
Over the coming weeks, get a first taste of the upcoming innovations by either being automatically enrolled in or voluntarily opting-in for early access.
During early access, your core QuickBooks workflows won’t change, but you’ll get the redesigned interface with a reimagined dashboard.
Introducing Intuit apps: Core QuickBooks features and add-ons are now called Intuit apps, all conveniently located at the top of your dashboard. This change makes it easier to access the functionality you need, make use of all the tools, and make the most of the Intuit platform as business needs expand.
Customisable navigation: Put your most-used tools front and centre and bookmark frequent actions. Customise your dashboard to match your workflows so you can keep focused and on-task.
Smart, unified search: No more digging for the info you need. With platform-wide search, you can find specific transactions, customers, accounts, reports, help, and more with consolidated results, all in one place.
Early access is open to QuickBooks customers on Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. We’re rolling it out in phases, so not every account has early access right away.
All accounts can be reverted back to the previous QuickBooks experience during this period. To revert back, go to Settings (the gear icon in the top right navigation bar) and select “Switch back to the previous QuickBooks experience” at the bottom of the screen.
Early access will continue through the next few months, and you can opt in or out at any time. In November, we'll start the full rollout, including Intuit's AI agents, integrated customer hub, and fully connected data and insights. We’ll continue to share updates as we get closer.

Your feedback is important. As you interact with the early access experience, let us know what you think. Go to Settings (the gear icon in the top right navigation bar) and select Feedback.
We’re excited to partner with you as we evolve QuickBooks into an end-to-end business platform that can better support you.
Q: What is happening in QuickBooks Online on August 27, 2025?
A: Starting August 27, we will begin rolling out a new, modernised user interface (UI) to QuickBooks Online users. This is a visual update designed to create a simpler, more intuitive experience. It is the first phase of the larger Intuit platform launch coming in November.
Q: What additional features will be available in QuickBooks Online as part of early access?
A: This initial phase is focused exclusively on the new user interface (UI). There are no new functionalities or features being introduced for the early access program. This visual update paves the way for Intuit’s powerful AI agents and enhanced customer hub features that will be part of the full launch in November.
Q: How will these changes affect QuickBooks Online users?
A: The primary change users will notice is a new look and feel within QuickBooks Online. Core workflows, accounting features, and data are not changing. The goal is to provide a cleaner workspace without disrupting how you get work done.
Q: How will this impact how I use QuickBooks Online?
A: This UI update will impact some of your current navigation paths but we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition. One thing to note is that your bookmarks will remain when you switch to the new experience. Comprehensive training resources will be readily available to help all users navigate these changes effectively.
Q: When will my QuickBooks Online account be transitioned to the new UI?
A: August 27 will mark the start of our early access program where some users will start to experience the new UI. By the end of September, all QuickBooks Online users will have the option to opt-in to try out the new experience. From November onwards, the new UI will be rolled out for all customers.
Q: Can I opt out of the new UI?
A: Yes. While all accounts will have the ability to opt into the new UI, you can opt out via the settings gear icon and revert to the current QuickBooks Online view at any time.
Q: Who can opt in or out of the new UI?
A: The ability to switch between the new and classic UI is limited to the Primary Admin and/or Accountant of the QuickBooks Online account.
Q: Will data be lost or impacted when switching between the new and current views of QuickBooks Online?
A: Absolutely not. Switching between the new UI and the current view does not impact your financial data in any way. All your information is preserved and available in both experiences.
Q: How do I opt in or out of the new UI?
Please note: To opt in or out of the new experience, you must be the primary administrator or Accountant user of the account.
Navigate to the settings gear icon on the navigation bar at the top of the screen. At the bottom of this section, you’ll see the “Try a new version of QuickBooks” prompt to opt in, or the “Switch back to the previous QuickBooks experience” prompt to opt out.
Q: How can I share my feedback about the new design?
A: Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us. If you choose to opt out of the new UI, you will be presented with a brief survey. Please share your thoughts there, as this information will go directly to our product teams to help them refine the experience for our broader launch. You can also always provide feedback by clicking the Settings gear icon and selecting “Feedback”.
