Q&A
Tell us a little bit about Soldo.
Soldo helps over 60,000 businesses to control company-wide spending from one easy-to-manage account. Administrators create cards for employees and departments. Customised spending limits and rules allow you to proactively control costs. And the mobile app snaps pictures of receipts to make expense management effortless. It all flows into QuickBooks Online for an accurate, up-to-date view of business spending and easy bookkeeping.
How does Soldo work with QuickBooks?
When an employee pays for anything with a Soldo card, the mobile app prompts them to capture the receipt, category, VAT and make any notes at the point of purchase. Everything is visible in Soldo in real-time for a clear view of spending. Check you have all the information you need, then publish your expense data to QuickBooks Online in one click. Once everything is ready and waiting in QuickBooks, all you need to do is reconcile.
You’ll be at QuickBooks Connect in London, 3-4 March. Tell us what attendees can expect from your team.
The Soldo team will be at QuickBooks Connect to help businesses get a grip on spending and streamline expense management. Join us to learn how businesses can get real-time visibility and control over who’s spending what, where and when. We’ll be demonstrating how the Soldo spend management platform saves everyone’s time. Then people can say goodbye to lost receipts, tedious expense reports and that dusty petty cash tin.
What advice do you have for small businesses?
Keep tabs on the Loss in your Profit & Loss statement. There are a lot of ways for money to leave your business, whether it’s overspending on travel, an out of control Facebook advertising, duplicate subscriptions, or even fraudulent expenses. But when you can see your spending, you can control it. And that could be the difference between turning a profit and running at a loss.
This year’s event theme is Own the Future. What makes your team excited about the opportunities ahead in the new world of work? And how does Soldo help small businesses grow and fuel their success?
If one word sums up the last few years, it’s ‘uncertainty’. But the view ahead has started to clear, and software – from cloud accounting to financial forecasting – is helping businesses to get a more reliable picture of what’s ahead.
Soldo is here to give businesses better visibility and complete control over spending, so they can set their own agenda. It generates real data and streams everything into accounting software, giving businesses unprecedented insights. We like to think we’re helping to provide a little financial certainty. And we’re not the only ones who’d like to help Britain’s businesses to own the future.
What are you most excited about for this year’s event?
We love hearing from Will Farnell. He’s a superstar of cloud accounting and his practice’s success speaks for itself. As a keen Soldo evangelist, he always finds smart ways to help his clients achieve more in less time. And we’re looking forward to his breakout session for a few gems of wisdom and some genuine innovation.
What’s on your team’s must-do list during QBC London?
We’re looking forward to the keynote speeches from Karren Brady, Steph McGovern and Michael McQueen. We’ll have our notepads out for the App Advisory Services Pricing breakout session and the What’s New in Tech panel session. And it’s always fun to see what other exhibitors have been working on, so we’ll pack our comfy shoes!
