Today QuickBooks announces the launch of QuickBooks Practice Manager for accountants, a new product which centralises client records to streamline workflows, reduce admin by automating tasks, and help manage workloads regardless of the financial management software that their clients use.

Accountants are often time-poor due to increasing client and external pressures, so saving time where possible is integral to success. QuickBooks Practice Manager allows accounting professionals to efficiently manage their firm and get work done faster by having records all in one place, giving them more time to focus on high-value client advisory work.

The new tool automates tasks for accounting professionals, increasing productivity and giving them complete visibility across their practice,  whilst keeping them abreast of the latest digital upgrades and developments. With QuickBooks Practice Manager, you can auto-generate to-do lists for recurring tasks and workflows, auto-assign work to team members, automate emails to clients and set client reminders based on tasks.

Nick Williams, UK Product Director at Intuit QuickBooks, says: “We developed QuickBooks Practice Manager with the core idea of saving time for accountants. We’re really keen to give them the space and energy to focus on the client advisory work, which is what many of them got into accountancy for in the first place.

“There are a multitude of benefits to the new tool, from improving efficiency and productivity by having everything all in one place, to providing complete visibility of all clients and teams. Accountants have been going above and beyond for their clients in testing times over the last few years in particular, and we are confident Practice Manager will support them to continue doing so but with greater ease.”

Mike Melling, Group Commercial Director at Tax Assist says: “One of the biggest challenges our accountants/franchisees face is keeping on top of all our clients’ many differing needs. Having core data in one place will massively cut down the time spent tracking the status and progress of client deliverables. The automation and visibility that QuickBooks Practice Manager can provide will save time which will enable more time to be spent on activities that directly benefit our clients.

“The tool presents a great opportunity for our network to spend less time on admin and more time supporting our clients to grow their businesses. With the team progress tracking tool, for example, TaxAssist Accountants’ practices can analyse the services provided to clients and identify additional services that will help clients.”

Some of the features in QuickBooks Practice Manager are:

  • To-do lists: Stay on top of tasks and deadlines through a single dashboard, tracking everything you need to complete a task including emails, information and documents.

  • Client onboarding: Easily create letters of engagement and automate welcome emails and document requests.

  • Task management: Automate recurring tasks, add deadlines to each stage of a workflow and access real-time status updates.

  • Streamline workflows: Direct link to your clients’ QBO, as well as secure, GDPR compliant file sharing.

  • Document e-signing: Reduce manual admin with integrated document e-sign, at no additional cost.

  • Smart integrations with Companies House, Xama, Zapier and more to save you time with client onboarding, importing data from third party applications & anti-money laundering checks.
