How do I know if QuickBooks Online Plus is right for my client?

How do my clients upgrade to QuickBooks Online Plus?

If you’re paying for your client’s subscription, you can upgrade them to Plus in QuickBooks Online Accountant. Select Setting > Subscription & Billing > Select Accountant-billed subscriptions tab, select the relevant client's name, select the arrow ▶ to display that client's product subscriptions, then next to the product you wish to upgrade, from the Subscription actions ▼ dropdown, select Upgrade. Alternatively your client can upgrade themselves following the same steps in their QuickBooks Online account.

Is the software accessible online, or do my clients need to download it?

What are the differences between QuickBooks Online Plus, Essentials, Simple Start, and Advanced?

There are two main factors to consider when deciding which QuickBooks Online product is right for your client.

First, how many users do you need? QuickBooks Simple Start is ideal for those who are self employed with simple accounting requirements. QuickBooks Online Essentials includes up to three users. QuickBooks Online Plus includes up to five users. QuickBooks Online Advanced includes up to 25 users.

Second, what features does your business need? QuickBooks Online Essentials does everything that Simple Start will do and adds the ability to manage suppliers and bills as well as multi-currency. QuickBooks Online Plus gives you the functionality of Simple Start and Essentials with the added ability to track inventory and track profitability by project or location as well as manage budgets. QuickBooks Online Advanced offers the ability for more automation, more customization, and more control. Check out our plans to find the best option for your client’s business.
