adding user for reports only view

good morning, I would like to add my client to the QBO file as a user so they can view and print reports when needed!  However, when I go to add a user, I do not get the option for reports only.  if I add them as standard user with limited access, they seem to count towards the number of billable users.  Can someone help?

I'm happy to hear from you again and excited to see you're still working with QuickBooks Online! I hope things have been going well so far, and it looks like you're bringing on new team members to help with managing your books. I can definitely go over user roles and how to work with a Reports only user.

 

QuickBooks Online users have a number of different types of roles, some of which count toward the user limit of your subscription (billable) and some that don't (non-billable). You're correct in saying a Reports only user won't count as a billable user, and in order to add this type of user, the first thing to make sure of is that you have a Plus-level subscription since that's the subscription level that includes this user type. If you're not using QuickBooks Online Plus, upgrading is the key to being able to add a user that can only view reports. This article can help with upgrading if that's what you'd like to do: Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription. Keep in mind that while the article suggests going to our Pricing and Plans page to compare prices and features, upgrading the program must be done in your account. If you go through the website again, you'll be creating an additional account and subscription.
