Welcome to the QuickBooks community family! Working with an accountant is a great way to ensure your books are precise to provide an accurate picture of your business’s financial well-being. I'll be happy to share more on the accountant option in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

 

At this moment, QuickBooks Self-Employed is a single-user software and the Canadian version of the program doesn't include the ability to add an accountant user. To share your information with your accountant, you can export your reports and transactions for them to review and advise you on. Here're some articles to assist you with that.

I also recommend speaking with your accountant to see if there's another way you can share your books with them so they can help you moving forward. In case you'd benefit from additional options in adding users, feel free to submit feedback directly to our QuickBooks Self-Employed product development team. You can do so by going to the Assistant menu, typing and entering "feedback", then following the prompts to share your thoughts with our engineers. Your comments are crucial in driving innovation to offer the best QuickBooks experience we can.

 

If you'd like to add an accountant user right away, you can consider switching to QuickBooks Online.
