Being able to link your accounts to bank feeds or third party apps is just one way QuickBooks Online gives you to the ability to customize how you use it. I can help point you in the right direction.

Bank feeds are a great way to quickly match transactions in your bank account to what is entered into your QuickBooks Online account to make reconciling easy. If you want to link accounts to your bank to download bank feeds you can follow the steps in this article.
Another option would be linking to third party apps, this is a great way to add more functionality and to better fine tune what you are looking to use QuickBooks Online for.
