Connecting your Scotiabank account to QuickBooks Online means that you'll save tons of time and effort with your business bookkeeping. If you're entering the password and QBO prompts you that it's too long, you may have reached the digit limits in QBO. Typically, passwords up to 8-12 characters can be acceptable, however this may depend on the financial institution.
If the password is too long, you'll have to update this on your online banking website. Once you've shortened the password, try updating it in QBO. To update it, click the Banking tab, then select the small pencil icon next to your account. Then, click Edit sign in info. From here, enter your new shortened password and attempt to connect.
