Though I am set to have it time out after 3 hours, I have had Quickbooks sign me out early, even if I have been working on something.

Here is an example - I signed in at 11:16 am, I created an invoice at 11: 26 am and I continued adding to that invoice over time. I got kicked out at approximately 2:16 pm even though I was active within Quickbooks after I created the invoice at 11:26 am. Why is that happening? I lost the work I'd done on the invoice - and yes, I should have been saving as I go, lesson learned - but why, when I was actively using QB online - did it sign me out?

I understand how difficult that must have been, especially after putting in so much effort only to lose it and have to start over again, @cara12. I recommend troubleshooting your web browser since this behavior is unusual.

In QuickBooks, you won’t be logged out until the set timeout period ends, and staying active in the system should prevent this from happening. You may consider clearing your cache, as stored or damaged files can sometimes cause this. You can also use a different supported browser for a better experience.

Once you’ve done these steps, you can go back to creating your invoice.
