Hi Edgas,
Welcome to Community! We understand how the security of company information must be considered when providing user access to your books. With QuickBooks Online you'll have options for the type of user and the permissions you'd like them to have. I'd be happy to provide additional information!
There are four types of users. Standard users can have full or limited access, Company Admin will have full access, Reports only can see all reports with the exception of payroll or contact information and Time Tracking only, which is specific to their own time entry sheets.
When you select the Standard user, you'll be able to limit their access to customers/suppliers, however, they won't be able to add, edit or delete accounts and quantity on hand, view bank registers or see total income and expenses on home, supplier or customer pages. Follow this link to learn more about Adding and Managing Users in QuickBooks Online.
There currently isn't a way to limit a user specifically to transactions. However, if this is something you'd like to have as an option, you can provide your suggestion to our Development team by going to the Gear icon in the top right of your account and select Feedback. We appreciate all recommendations to provide the best customer experience for our customers.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reach back out. We'd be happy to assist!
