I appreciate you performing some troubleshooting steps to fix the error message, @ToulaD.
Let’s deactivate all the accounts with online services for us to determine if the problem originates with one of the other banks. Any issue can prevent QuickBooks from connecting with your financial institution.
Before doing so, make sure to update the software to the latest release and create a backup copy of the company file. This way, you’ll always have an intact file to go back and work with when prompted with an error.
Once done, perform the following:
- From the Chart of Accounts, right-click the account you wish to deactivate and choose Edit Account.
- Click the Bank Feed Settings tab.
- Move the radio button to Deactivate All Online Services.
- Choose OK on the message prompt.
- Hit Save & Close.
You can follow the same steps to disable online services to the rest of the accounts. Check out this article for more information: Deactivate Bank Feeds.
Now, close and re-open the file. Then, set up each account for Bank feeds again. Here’s how:
- Go to Banking menu.
- Choose Bank Feeds, then Set Up Bank Feeds for an Account.
- Type in your bank’s name in the Enter your Bank’s name field.
- Select the right option.
- Add the bank on the Link your Accounts screen.

Right after, try downloading transactions again. Here’s an article to help you with the process: Download Bank Feed transactions.
