Hello, I am doing a bank reconcile for my chequing account and there are 2 transactions on my bank statement that are not in quickbooks. How do I fix this?

Hello,

Reconciliation is an important task for any small business owner. It's the best way to stay organized, and stay confident that your bookkeeping is up-to-date. If you're noticing that there's two transactions in your bank account that haven't been entered into QuickBooks, you'll be able to either add the transactions into the books, or exclude the transactions from the bank feed.

If these transactions are supposed to be in QuickBooks, you'll want to add them based on the information you're seeing in the bank feed. Simply click the Add button, then ensure all the information is correct before saving. Here's more about how that works: Download, match, and categorize your bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If these transactions are not supposed to be in QuickBooks, you'll want to exclude them from the bank feed so you can complete your reconciliation. To do that, simply check the box next to the two transactions, then click Batch actions > Exclude selected. This will move the transactions out of the bank feed, into the "excluded" section so they won't impact your books.

I hope this helps you get back on track so you can finish reconciling. Here's another helpful resource about the reconciliation process in QBO: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Cheers.
