Can historical YTD payroll tax payments made before using QBO standard payroll be entered as a lump sum without the breakdown for EI, CPP & Tax?

Hey laurriemoline,

I'm glad to see you're taking extra steps to enter your payroll tax history accurately. This is a critical part the set up that ensures calculations will be accurate going forward, which really pays off when producing PD7As and T4s. To give us a clear picture of exactly what has happened in your payroll so far, it's necessary to include a detailed breakdown of the taxes and deductions. If you don't have these details, please reach out to your accountant. They're your most valuable ally in setting up payroll, and they'll be able to help you record this.

You can easily invite your accountant as a user so you can work on this together. To find one in your area, simply head to the My Accountant tab in QuickBooks Online then click on Find a pro to help.

Hope this helps!
