How do I delete a payroll cycle? I haven't run any payrolls on it.

Hello jjpullein,

 

Running payroll has never been easier, thanks to QuickBooks Online Payroll! Now that you've integrated your payroll service with the rest of your books, you'll save time and get more organized. I'd be happy to help clear this up for you.

 

If you haven't ran payroll in your account yet, don't worry. There's nothing that you'll have to delete. If you ever do discover that you've ran payroll by accident, simply delete each of the pay cheques from the system by following the instructions below.

 

1. Click the Employees tab on the left navigation menu.

2. Select the employee from the list.

3. Click Pay cheque list.

4. Check the box next to the pay cheque.

5. Select Delete.

 

Repeat these steps for each employee you ran payroll for.

 

If you're using direct deposit and you've ran payroll by mistake, call our phone support team right away at 855-253-1536. Our team is available from Monday - Friday, 9am - 8pm, EST, and Saturdays 9am - 6:30pm EST.
