New 2020 T4 CRA Requirement codes

Box 57 - 60 for my organization is still blank. wondering why that is. since we got an email confirming the auto-fill is completed. was the email sent in error? As the boxes are blank as I write. This is frustrating you know

Hi there Toyosi,

 

I hear what you're saying, and I know how important the autofill feature is when it comes to completing your T4 slips. I'm happy to let you know that the email you received wasn't in error, and that this feature is in fact back in working order. Let me give you a hand with taking the correct steps so that you can make use of this helpful feature.

 

In order to get the autofill feature to work in your QuickBooks Desktop file again, you'll need to do an update. You can go about that in one of two ways. The first is by navigating to the Help menu, then to Update QuickBooks Desktop. From there hit Update Now, then Get Updates. If this doesn't quite do the trick, the other option is to navigate to our Downloads & Updates page of our website to manually download the most recent update for your version of the software. Check out the Do manual updates section of the article below, and scroll to (Alternative) Get updates from the internet for steps on how to do this:

 

 

Once you've updated, you should be able to hit F2 on your keyboard and see R10_53 as the release number for the 2020 version of QuickBooks Desktop. For those using the 2021 version, the release number should read R4_57
