After running the last payroll of the month, I want to access the PD7 form to make my remittance to the government. So far I can only find it once the month is over. We pay with a manual cheque, not through QuickBooks, and need ample time to have payment in government hands before deadline.
I understand that you want to access the PD7 form before the end of the month for your remittance, Quickerrooter.
The PD7 form is generated after the last payroll run of the month, and since your pay date may fall in the following month, that’s why you’re unable to see the form yet.
If you’d like to view the PD7 form earlier, I suggest changing the pay date of your payroll.

Thank you for the reply Roice. I am trying to access after our last payroll run of the month. In my case that was on May 22 and the next payroll run is June 5. I want to be able to access the report earlier than June 1st - ideally the day after my last payroll run of a particular month. To change the payroll cycle, I would have to do that monthly - and that would create another entire set of issues. Any other options? Appreciate it.
QuickBooks will not perform calculations until your next payroll run, @quickerrooterplu. I'll provide additional details to help you navigate this situation.
Since your last payroll run of the month was on May 22, and the next one is on June 5, please note that the system will not perform any calculations until it reaches your next payroll. To bypass this, you'll want to modify your payroll cycle to allow access to the PD7 form on your preferred date. Also, please be aware that this change will only affect future payroll runs.
