How to sort purchases for previous year highest to lowest?

Great question, wgiroux. Sorting purchase transactions from the previous year is a great way to keep track of your spending. You can achieve this using the Purchases by Supplier Detail report with a few customizations. I'll walk you through the process below.

To begin with, let's generate the Purchases by Supplier Detail. Set the appropriate date range to pull up the desired transactions from the previous year. Then, use the arrow in the Amount column to organize the data from highest to lowest.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports section, then select Standard Reports.
  2. Use the search bar to find and open the Purchases by Supplier Detail.
  3. Once launched, choose the correct date range from the Report period dropdown. You can select Custom dates to specify the dates manually.
  4. In the Amount column, click the small arrow from its header. Make sure it's pointing downward.

It's worth noting that the data is grouped by supplier. If you want to change it, you can do so through the Group by option at the top right corner.
