What category would I put SEO expenses under?

Hi there 4parker,

 

Learning the best ways to account for your expenses using QuickBooks Online is an important step. It ensures that the things you buy for your business are being tracked accurately and in an organized fashion. Let me point you in the right direction.

 

While there are categories that are automatically generated for you in QBO, deciding which is the right one to use for a specific transaction is up to you and your accountant. You may decide that this is an Office Expense, or perhaps your accountant would suggest creating a new account specifically for expenses of this nature.

 

If you're already working with an accountant, you can invite them to your QuickBooks account to support you by using the My Accountant tab. Simply enter their email address and hit Invite. If you don't have an accountant just yet, the same page features a Find a pro to help button where you can browse through our database of QuickBooks-certified accountants to find one in your area that suits your business' needs.
