It's great to see that you're getting use out of the QuickBooks Online mobile app! This is one of the ways that the program is designed to help you keep on top of your work by providing this portal for on-the-go entry of some of your data. I can absolutely go over how to add a new customer on the mobile app with you.
Depending on whether you're using the Apple or Android app, the steps to add a customer will vary slightly. For instance, the latest release of the Apple app has a handy icon labeled Customer at the top of the Dashboard menu where you can now press to add a customer more easily. In the Android app, you can use the plus icon at the top right to create a new customer.
If you're not seeing those options, don't worry, you can also create a customer by going to the main menu in the QuickBooks Online app (this looks like three lines), selecting Customers, and then the plus icon. Once you've got the information saved, you'll see the name of this new customer in your customer list and be able to create transactions for them.
