I have deactivated square as an app from QBO and want to inactivate all the accounts square has created in my chart of accounts. QBO won't let me inactivate these account

When I try and inactivate the square accounts QBO is giving me an error message saying they are needed in an automated workflow.

Thanks for reaching out to us here.  QuickBooks Online enables you to make accounts inactive, so your chart of accounts remains organized.  I can see how the error you're getting with regards to Square accounts, can impact your QuickBooks goals.  I would be glad to assist!

 

If you've set up automated work flows in square, you'll need to deactivate or delete them, before making the accounts inactive in your QuickBooks Online account. You'll need to reactivate your Square account in order to make any changes.
