How do you synch laptop and moblie ? downloaded the app and signed it but it looks like a new accound

Hello fttchris,

 

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! It's a great place to ask questions and get direction for your QuickBooks Self-Employed concerns, so I'm glad to have you with us. Being able to use both a browser and the app to access the program is one of the things we love having available for the program, and I want to make sure you're able to put those options to good use.

 

When you want to use both the browser on your laptop and the app on your mobile device to access QuickBooks Self-Employed, the key is to use the same login details and click Sign in when using either option. If when you downloaded the app you clicked Create account instead, then that would mean you created a new account and the billing is tied to the app store. To make sure you're accessing the same account as you use in the browser, sign out of the account you opened in the mobile app via the in-app settings, then click Sign in. If when you sign out it brings you to a page that shows "sign in as," make sure you're clicking User another account so you can enter the login details from the browser.

 

If you're having trouble with that, I recommend getting in touch with the QuickBooks Self-Employed team outside of the QuickBooks Community so that a member of the team can securely pull up your account details and figure out what's going on for you. Here's how to get in touch.

  1. Click the Assistant feature in product.
  2. Type and enter "talk to human."
  3. Follow the prompts to start a chat.
