Hi there,

Your Chart of Accounts are important as they tell you how much money your company has, how much money it owes, and how much money is coming in. Don't worry, I'll be happy to assist with making sure you're able correct the accounts.

QuickBooks is designed to save you time so you can focus on your business. Based on what you've described, you can either manually edit the accounts or revisit the method you used to import your data to make sure there are no errors. Here's a good article which shows you the format required to import your Chart of Accounts: Move your chart of accounts to QuickBooks Online.

If you decide to manually edit your accounts, follow the simple steps below:

  1. Select Accounting from the left menu.
  2. Locate the account you'd like to edit.
  3. Select the drop down arrow next to Account history or Run report (depending on the account).
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Make all desired changes and click Save and Close.

You can also check out this article for more info: Add to or edit the Chart of Accounts. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to leave a comment below. I got your back. :)
