I am interested in moving my Windows QB Pro 2019 Desktop file to Mac QB Online. Is this a straightforward process? Is it possible? It is made a bit more complicated because I am changing platforms as well as the overall system.
I just want to know if there is anything I should be aware of before I start the process, assuming it's doable.
Can you still open your file on the PC? You can install the trial version for QB Desktop 2022 to upgrade your file and convert it to QB Online.

Then you can open your QB Online account on your Mac later. You'll need a workaround with extra effort if you only have the QuickBooks company file and your Mac.
Hi there AmandaPants,
It's important that you have the best software in order to be able to manage your books effectively. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you access your books from anywhere with an internet connection. I can provide some information about transferring the information from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
In order to do this transfer of information, you can do so by connecting to your QuickBooks Desktop on your Windows PC and following these steps. This would have to be done on the Windows computer, as QuickBooks Desktop is not able to run on the Mac. Once transferred into QuickBooks Online, you'll be able to connect to your account from any Windows or Mac computer by opening a browser, and going to qbo.ca to sign in.
