I am missing some, but not all, transactions from my bank account and from one of my credit cards. I tried to follow the steps found in this community, such as here. However, I receive an error stating that all the transactions I am trying to upload (which include the missing transactions) are duplicates and cannot be uploaded.
I would guess that I have a filter somewhere that is hiding some transactions, but not others. How can I fix this?
Hello KokDq,
It's a pleasure to see you in Community. Welcome! Thank you for sharing the link that provides detailed steps for manually uploading your transactions. I appreciate the time you've taken to upload them in your books. Although QuickBooks Self-Employed automatically downloads your latest transactions, there are times when issues may arise. I would be glad to help!
It's important to confirm if duplicate transactions have been previously downloaded, and how this can be prevented moving forward. I suggest taking a look at your bank statement on your bank's website, to review possible duplicate transactions there. If the statement indicates duplicate transactions, your automatic upload to QuickBooks was accurate and aligned with your bank. However, if no duplicates are found, you'll want to make sure your bank or credit card account is only connected to QuickBooks Self-Employed once. If it's connected twice, you can hide one of the accounts to stop QuickBooks from downloading new transactions from the second connection. Here's how;
This should prevent duplicate transactions in the future. However, if you still see duplicate entries that were automatically downloaded by QuickBooks, follow the steps here, to exclude them. In addition, if you've accidentally added a transaction manually, after QuickBooks downloaded it, you can delete the duplicate(s), by following the steps in the article for excluding transactions, that I've provided for your reference. Once you've completed these steps, you should be able to proceed with manually add your missing transactions seamlessly.
