Please help to delete the unused company. I only need the one with our accounts.

I subscribed and use my credit card then create another new blank company for me. Now I have two but only need one. Can you help?

QuickBooks Online makes it simple to cancel your account at any time and on your terms. I can help go over the steps to cancel your unused company.

 

To cancel your unused company in QuickBooks online is as simple as going to: Gear>Account and Settings>Billing and Subscription. Once there you can cancel the company you are in but leave the other company and your account unchanged.

Hi, I'm trying to do the same thing, delete a second, unnecessary copy of my company in my profile (created in error when first trying to set-up an account via the mobile app, then buying the subscription later on a desktop interface), however, there is no Gear>Account and Settings>Billing and Subscription option that I see when following these instructions.  Has the menu tree recently changed?

Thanks for letting me know that you're not seeing those options when trying to cancel your QuickBooks Online account that was created via the mobile app. This is an important detail as it's given me a pretty good idea of what your situation is and how to help you cancel this unwanted secondary account.

 

The steps you highlighted are still correct for cancelling a QuickBooks Online subscription that was created via the QuickBooks website. However, when you sign up for QuickBooks Online via the mobile app, the billing is linked to the billing in your mobile app store. In those instances, all subscription matters, including cancelling, are handled through the app store. Once you've cancelled via the app store, you won't have to worry about receiving charges for that account anymore. Not sure where to go?
