It's awesome to hear you're taking advantage of the mobile app for QuickBooks Online. The cloud-based version of QuickBooks was designed with the on-the-go business owner in mind, and the app makes getting your work done simple wherever you are. I'd be happy to explain the options available in the app.
Reconciliation is a process that's limited to the browser version of QBO. Since this requires a more robust system, the browser better supports this task. Don't worry, you can still categorize, add, and match your bank feed transactions in the app so that once you go to reconcile, everything is set to go.
To categorize your bank feed transactions in the app, follow these steps:
- From the Menu ☰, select Transactions.
- Note: On the iPad, if you have multiple accounts, select the drop-down ▼ arrow to see your list of bank accounts, then you can choose the one you want.
- Select Review Transactions.
- Select For Review to review transactions QuickBooks Online has already recognized, categorized, and matched for you.
- If the transaction is correctly categorized and matched, swipe right to accept it. If the transaction is incorrectly categorized and matched, select the transaction and make the necessary changes.
- Select Accept.
That's all there is to it. These changes will then appear in the browser version of QBO when you're ready to reconcile.
