Glad to hear from you again. It's good to learn that you're using QB to manage your T4s and payroll.
I'll be happy to share more info about T4s in QuickBooks. Based on what you've described it sounds like you're Standard Payroll and if that's the case, the T4s you see aren't for submission. You'll have to create and submit your T4s through the CRA website. You'll need to fill out T4 slips for your employees if you:
- Deducted Canada Pension Plan (CPP) contributions, Québec Pension Plan (QPP) contributions, Employment Insurance (EI) premiums, Provincial Parental Insurance Plan (PPIP) premiums, or income tax
- Paid an employee more than $500
Note: You'll need to provide your employees with a T4 slip for each province or territory they worked in for your company.
