Why is ISO-8601 date format not supported in bank import? CIBC bank exports in this, and it's the official Canadian date format. Ironically it is in bank reconciliation.

I have complained about this over year ago and still nothing has been done. Does Intuit hate its Canadian customers?

Check your date format in your account settings: (see attached)

Hi there rob45,

It's vital that all your transactions be entered correctly so that your books balance well at the end of every month. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to import transactions directly from your bank or from files in order to save you time with entering data. I can provide some information about the bank import process.

I can see that you've recommended this date format in the past to save you time with importing files from your CIBC account. If you haven't done so yet, I recommend you leave feedback in the system by clicking on the Gear icon, then Feedback. The comments made in that section are taken into consideration when designing new features for future updates of QuickBooks Online. I'll pass along your feedback on my end as well.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.

Another option, utilize MT Online as a workaround. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.
