I have two taxes of the same amount and being added when I am entering a new expense?

Hello,

Creating expenses in QuickBooks Online is an easy process that involves a few simple steps. I know how important it is to ensure your expenses are recorded with the proper tax codes, and I'd be happy to explain how this process works.

When adding an expense to QuickBooks Online, you'll have the ability to add a tax code for each of your line items. If you're noticing two tax codes that calculate the same percentage, you may have set up a duplicate tax in your account. You can manage your sales tax by clicking Taxes > Sales Tax > Manage Sales Tax. If you have a duplicate tax code set up, you can make it inactive by clicking Make Inactive

If you're having a particular issue with your taxes being assigned to your expenses, I'd recommend reaching out to our tech support team for further assistance. It's important that our agents can take a look at your account to see exactly what's happening.

Have a great day.
