How can I print a report of my business-only mileage for Dec 2019?

Hello thecritterconcie,

It's awesome to see that you've been using QuickBooks Self-Employed to track your mileage. It's a great way to keep on top of this information and analyze these details for your business, so I can see how being able to print a business-only mileage report would be useful. I'll help you with this.

There are a couple of ways to see the information related to mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed. I'll start with the Trips tab. There, you can see the current year, as well as data for the prior year, including individual months. When you hover over the month column on the graph, it'll tell you the total business kilometres for that time period. There isn't a way to filter and only export for a given month, so a workaround is in order here.

What I recommend is navigating to the Reports tab, choosing the year from the drop-down menu on the Mileage report line, then click the down-arrow to choose Download. This will give you a CSV file, which you can then edit to see only the month you need and the related trips. From there, you can filter out any personal trips you don't need as well.

I know even a bit of extra work in the busy schedule of an entrepreneur can put a dent in your workflow, so I recommend sharing feedback about this. There's a Share feedback button right on the Trips tab, or you can follow these steps.

  1. Select the Assistant feature.
  2. Type and enter "feedback."
  3. Follow the prompts.

This is a superb way to lend your voice to what we can do to enhance the software.

Wishing you the best!
